Steve has owned property in Nakusp, a glamping site on a mountain for 20 years but moved into the village full time in the winter of 2020, and has created a new local company called “Stevescapes”, focusing on landscape consulting, renovation, and maintenance.

Steve wants to create beautiful, sustainable landscapes that will thrive in the local environment for years to come with minimal maintenance.

Studio Connexion is a Fine Arts Gallery in the heart of Nakusp, showcasing local talent and other artists from across Canada. Originally a boutique selling antique reproduction furniture, Studio Connexion evolved into a Fine Art Gallery which hosts a number of art exhibitions each year. It is a cultural space promoting visual art in the Arrow Lakes region and the West Kootenays.

Summit Lake Provincial ParkPark visitors enjoy canoeing, fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout or swimming in the lake’s clear, refreshing mountain water.

Mountain goats can often be viewed on rocky outcroppings and in late summer a natural spectacle occurs as thousands of toads emerge from the lake and migrate to the nearby forest to hibernate for the winter.

This 6 hectare park lies within the Nakusp range of the Selkirk Mountains. Park visitors enjoy canoeing or kayaking, fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout or swimming in the lake's clear, refreshing mountain water. The BnB is a 5 minute drive to the downtown and; beach areas, 8 minutes to Mount Abriel bike trails and 20 minutes to both local hotsprings.
