All the lakes in the region, except for the Arrow Lakes, freeze in the winter, providing excellent opportunities for ice fishing. Popular ice fishing spots are Box Lake near Nakusp and Staubert and Armstrong Lakes near Trout Lake. Please check the fishing regulations for restrictions and closures.
